The Pringles Chocolate Block Trend: We Tried It So You Don't Have To

Two ingredients, one can, and a refrigerator. This is the dessert that broke social media this week, and it's both weird and kind of brilliant.

Two ingredients. One Pringles can. The result looks like something from a chocolate shop window. The Pringles Chocolate Block trend took over TikTok and Instagram in early April 2026, racking up millions of views in just a few days. The concept is simple enough that anyone can do it, which is exactly why it spread so fast.

What Is It?

You fill a full tube of Pringles with melted chocolate, refrigerate it for a few hours, then peel away the cardboard to reveal a solid chocolate cylinder ridged with chip impressions throughout. Every slice has the same salty-sweet contrast. Original Pringles are the most popular base, though the sour cream and onion variety has its own following for the extra flavor layer it adds.

Did We Try It?

Three rounds. Three different chocolates. Here's the honest breakdown:

The One Step Most Videos Skip

Pour the chocolate in thirds, not all at once. Fill the can about a third of the way, tap the base on the counter to settle the chips, then repeat. This removes air pockets and gives you a cleaner cut when you slice it. Minimum three hours in the fridge, overnight produces a noticeably better result.

To unmold: score the cardboard tube with scissors and peel it back like a wrapper. The block comes out clean.

The Verdict

Is it gimmicky? Yes. Is it delicious? Also yes. This is the kind of 5-minute party trick that makes you look like you actually tried. It costs about $4 in ingredients and generates approximately 12 compliments per batch. We'll be making it again.

McDonald's K-Pop Demon Hunters Meals: Every Item Ranked

Ramyeon McShaker fries, sweet chili Hunter sauce, and a CEO appearance so awkward it went more viral than the food. We tried everything.

McDonald's collab meals have had a moment, from BTS to Travis Scott to Saweetie. The latest? K-Pop Demon Hunters, and it might be the most chaotic collab yet. Two meal options, a CEO cameo nobody asked for, and Ramyeon-flavored McShaker fries. Let's break it all down.

The Two Meals

The HUNTR/X Meal

10-piece McNuggets, a medium drink, Ramyeon McShaker fries with soy-garlic-sesame seasoning, sweet chili Hunter dipping sauce, and a Mustard Demon sauce. The McShaker fries are the real star. You shake the seasoning packet into the bag and toss. The soy-garlic-sesame flavor is genuinely addictive. The sweet chili sauce is solid. The Mustard Demon sauce is controversial (it's basically spicy mustard, which shouldn't be controversial, but here we are).

The Saja Boys Breakfast Meal

Spicy Saja McMuffin with sausage, egg, and peppery Saja sauce, hash browns, and a small drink. This one is underrated. The Saja sauce has a black pepper kick that's different from their standard hot sauce. Get this if you're a breakfast person.

The Big Arch

Still available and still creating buzz. Two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of white cheddar, crispy onions, slivered onions, lettuce, pickles, and Big Arch sauce. Most reviews are positive. The CEO's video attempting to eat one without making a mess went massively viral, for all the wrong reasons. We won't embed it here, but you've probably already seen it.

Starbucks Spring 2026 new drinks - Raspberry Danish Latte

Starbucks rolled out its Spring 2026 menu with a strong ube and coconut theme across the lineup, then followed it up weeks later with a second wave of tropical Energy Refreshers and a new Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso. There's a lot here. We've tried the key items and ranked the ones worth your time.

The Spring 2026 Lineup, Ranked

#1: Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato

The purple standout of the season. Espresso layered with coconut milk and topped with ube coconut cream cold foam. The macchiato format means the espresso hits first, then the foam folds in as you drink down. Ube flavor is earthy and subtly sweet without tipping into artificial territory. Multiple outlets called this the clear winner of the spring menu, and we agree.

#2: Iced Lavender Cream Chai

Chai with lavender cream cold foam. The lavender is measured, not overwhelming, which is exactly what these drinks need to work. The chai spice carries the flavor, the foam keeps it smooth. This is the most broadly appealing drink on the menu and will likely outsell everything else.

#3: Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew

Cold brew topped with toasted coconut cream cold foam. Simple, effective, and a natural extension of cold brew for anyone who already drinks it regularly. The coconut foam adds sweetness without milk heaviness.

#4: Iced Ube Coconut Cream Shaken Espresso

Part of the second-wave April additions. Shaken espresso with coconut milk and ube coconut cream. More energetic than the macchiato, and a good option for afternoons when you want something cold and strong with the ube flavor.

#5: Starbucks Energy Refreshers

New as of April 7. Three flavors featuring natural caffeine from green coffee extract. Worth knowing about if you're looking for a lower-calorie caffeine option, though the flavor profile is lighter than the espresso-forward drinks above.

Air Fryer Parmesan Cheese Balls: The Viral Appetizer Everyone Is Making

Katie Couric made it on TODAY. It's all over Instagram. We made it three times to get it exactly right. Here's the real recipe.

By Priya Nair  ·  Apr 8, 2026  ·  3 min read  ·  89K views
Air Fryer Cheese Balls

Image courtesy of COSORI / PR Newswire

A food stylist appeared on a morning show last week and made an air fryer parmesan cheese ball. The clip blew up. By the next day it was all over Instagram and every food account had reposted it. We made the recipe three times back to back to figure out what the technique actually requires.

The Recipe

What You Need

How to Make It

Mix mozzarella, cream cheese, half the parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until combined. Roll into golf ball-sized portions. Mix remaining parmesan with panko breadcrumbs and roll each ball in the mixture. Air fry at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until golden.

What We Learned After 3 Attempts

Freeze for 15 minutes before air frying. This is the step most recipes skip and it changes everything. Cold cheese balls hold their shape and get that perfect golden exterior without melting into a flat puddle. Don't skip this.

Use panko, not regular breadcrumbs. The texture difference is night and day. Panko gives you actual crunch. Regular breadcrumbs give you sadness.

Don't overcrowd the basket. Leave space between balls for air circulation. Do them in two batches if needed.

Best Air Fryers for This Recipe
The COSORI 5.8Qt is our top pick. Consistent heat, easy cleanup, and the basket size handles this recipe perfectly.

The Raspberry Danish Latte Started in Minnesota. Now It's Everywhere.

One Minnesota café posted a recipe to TikTok. Coffee shops in Florida are already serving it. Here's what it is, where to get it, and how to make it at home.

One café. One TikTok. Now it's at coffee shops in Florida, Ohio, and spreading fast. A Minnesota café posted their house drink recipe and the internet did the rest. The video racked up massive views in under a week, and the drink itself, a latte built around the flavors of a raspberry Danish pastry, is now showing up at independent cafés nationwide. Here's everything you need to know.

What Is a Raspberry Danish Latte?

The drink is built around the flavor profile of a raspberry Danish: that pastry with cream cheese filling, sweet raspberry jam, and flaky dough. Translated into a latte, it's layered espresso, raspberry syrup, steamed milk, and the key element: a cream cheese cold foam on top, finished with cinnamon sugar.

How to Make It at Home

Ingredients

Method

Blend cream cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until smooth and frothy. This is your cream cheese foam. Pour raspberry syrup over ice in a tall glass, add espresso, then steamed milk. Spoon cream cheese foam on top. Dust with cinnamon. Drink immediately.

Where to Find It

Right now it's spreading fast. Search "raspberry danish latte near me" on Instagram or TikTok, local cafés are using that exact phrase as their hashtag. If you're in Florida, the Rosalina Café & Bakery and Googan Coffee Shop on the Treasure Coast are confirmed locations. Nationwide chains are expected to pick it up within the next two to three weeks.

Taco Bell's New Chocolate Empanadas + Full April Menu Breakdown

Taco Bell announced its biggest menu expansion in years at its Live Mas Live 2026 event, with 15 or more new items rolling out across the year. The April additions include dessert empanadas in two flavors, a new Crunchwrap Slider, Salted Caramel Churros, and a revamped value tier now called the Luxe Value Menu. We tried everything that's currently available. Here's what holds up.

The Dessert Empanadas

Chocolate Fudge Empanada

Warm, flaky, and genuinely chocolatey. The fudge filling is richer than expected from a fast food item, it's not the watered-down chocolate you'd fear. The crispy exterior holds up well. This is the better of the two empanadas. Get it warm, not after it's been sitting.

Salted Caramel Empanada

Good, but the caramel is a bit one-note without enough salt to back up the name. Still worth trying. Pairs well with their freeze drinks if you want a full dessert situation.

New Luxe Value Menu, What's Worth It

What to Order This Month

If you only get one thing: Beefy Potato Loaded Griller. If you're getting dessert: Chocolate Fudge Empanada, warm. Skip the Salted Caramel Empanada on this trip, the churros are better and cheaper.

Papa John's New Pan Pizza vs. Domino's: The Definitive 2026 Taste Test

Garlic butter bottom. Caramelized cheese edge. Detroit-style inspiration. We bought both on the same night and settled it once and for all.

By Priya Nair  ·  Apr 7, 2026  ·  5 min read  ·  97K views
Pan Pizza

Image courtesy of Papa John's International / PR Newswire

Papa Johns brought back pan pizza after nearly a decade away, and the version they came back with is a serious upgrade. The chain spent years developing the recipe before relaunching it in January 2026, and the result shows. Starting at $11.99 for a medium one-topping, it's priced to compete and holds up well against the category.

Papa John's Pan Pizza

The garlic butter bottom is the real innovation here. The crust gets genuinely crispy, not just "less soft," but actually crunchy in a way delivery pizza rarely achieves. The caramelized cheese edge is the move. It's not Buddy's in Detroit, but it doesn't pretend to be. For a national chain, this is impressive.

Toppings sit well. The cheese-to-sauce ratio leans cheesy, which we like. The crust doesn't get soggy during delivery if you eat within 20 minutes of arrival. After 30 minutes, it softens, eat fast.

Domino's Pan Pizza

Softer, more bread-like, and less distinctive. Domino's pan pizza is comfortable and reliable but doesn't have a personality. The crust is good but forgettable. The cheese doesn't caramelize. It's fine.

The Verdict

Papa Johns wins, clearly. The garlic butter bottom and caramelized edge are real differentiators. This is the best thing Papa Johns has released in several years and it legitimately competes with local pizza spots that charge twice the price. If you're a Domino's person, this is worth a one-time defection. You'll probably stay.

Also: Papa Johns has three new oven-toasted sandwiches (Philly cheesesteak, chicken bacon ranch, steak and mushroom) that are solid secondary options if pizza isn't your thing today.

Wendy's Thin Mints Frosty Is the Best Limited-Time Item Right Now. Don't Sleep on It

By Marcus Webb  ·  Apr 6, 2026  ·  3 min read  ·  74K views
Wendy's Thin Mints Frosty Fusion

Image courtesy of The Wendy's Company / PR Newswire

Girl Scout cookie fast-food collabs happen every year. Most deliver a vaguely themed product that tastes like the idea of a cookie, not an actual one. The Wendy's Thin Mints Frosty Fusion is a different story. This one actually tastes like what it's supposed to be, and that alone puts it ahead of most seasonal fast-food desserts we've tried.

What It Is

Two versions are available this season: the Thin Mints Frosty Swirl (the returning fan favorite with mint cookie crumble sauce) and the new Thin Mints Frosty Fusion, which adds actual crumbled Thin Mints cookie pieces into the mix. Both come standard with a vanilla base, but can be made with chocolate by request. The Fusion is the one to get. The cookie pieces add real crunch and double down on the Thin Mints flavor in a way the sauce alone doesn't achieve. The mint tastes like peppermint oil, not artificial mint flavoring. That's the thing that separates it from every other mint fast-food dessert.

There's also a Frosty Swirl version without the cookie bits if you want the flavor without the crunch.

How Long Is It Available?

No official end date announced yet, but based on previous years this type of collab runs 4-6 weeks from launch. It's April now, don't wait until May.

Other New Wendy's Items

Also new this month: a Cheesy Bacon Cheeseburger (bacon + cheddar cheese sauce, solid but not interesting) and a Chicken Tenders Ranch Wrap (fine for what it is). Neither comes close to the Frosty for excitement level.

Bottom line: If you like Thin Mints, you will like this Frosty. Go get it this week.

Dunkin Spring Menu

Image courtesy of Dunkin' / PR Newswire

Dunkin' went full banana for spring 2026, and honestly? It works better than it should. The headliner is the Banana Puddin' Cloud Latte, but the real story might be Dunkin' Zero, a zero-sugar energy drink that puts them in direct competition with Bang and Celsius. Let's rank everything.

Full Ranking

#1, Banana Puddin' Cloud Latte

Espresso, whole milk, banana flavor, topped with banana cold foam. The cold foam is thick and airy, the "Cloud" in the name is accurate. The banana flavor reads as banana pudding rather than fresh banana, which is the right call. This is Dunkin's best seasonal drink in two years.

#2, Dunkin' Zero Energy Drinks

Six flavors: mango, peach, tangerine, and three others. Zero sugar, natural caffeine, and genuinely drinkable. The mango and peach are the best. This is a direct shot at Celsius and it's competitive on both flavor and price.

#3, Bananarama Matcha

Matcha latte with banana flavor and your choice of milk. Sounds weird. Tastes good. The banana mellows the grassy matcha edge in a way that makes it more approachable for matcha newcomers.

#4, Banana Daydream Refresher

A Refresher blended with oat milk and banana cold foam. Refreshing and light. Good for summer, slightly out of place in early April.

What to Order

First visit: Banana Puddin' Cloud Latte. Second visit: Dunkin' Zero in Mango. Skip the Refresher until it's actually warm outside.

Chipotle Chicken Al Pastor Is Back and It Sold Out Last Time. Here Is What to Know Before It Disappears Again.

Adobo marinade, morita peppers, ground achiote, fresh pineapple. The most requested limited-time protein in Chipotle history is back for 2026.

By Camille Torres  ·  Apr 13, 2026  ·  4 min read  ·  124K views
Chipotle Chicken Al Pastor 2026 official press photo

Image courtesy of Chipotle Mexican Grill / PR Newswire

Chipotle brought back Chicken al Pastor on February 10, 2026, and it is available across all US, Canada, UK, France, and Germany locations for a limited time. It is the first limited-time protein offering in Chipotle's 2026 menu innovation plan, which the company says will include three to four protein LTOs plus new sides and dips throughout the year. That is a faster pace than anything Chipotle has done before.

What Makes Chicken Al Pastor Different from Regular Chicken

Chipotle's standard chicken uses a simple citrus and spice marinade. Al Pastor is a different animal entirely. The protein is marinated in adobo and morita peppers, seasoned with ground achiote, and finished with fresh lime, cilantro, and a splash of pineapple. The pineapple is the differentiator. It adds a brightness that cuts through the smokiness of the morita pepper in a way that regular Chipotle chicken simply does not achieve. The result is tangier, more complex, and noticeably juicier.

Make Al Pastor at Home
Guajillo and morita peppers are the foundation. This dried chili variety pack gets you there.
Shop on Amazon →

The Best Way to Order It

Burrito bowl, white rice, black beans, al pastor, fresh tomato salsa, corn salsa, and a squeeze of lemon. The corn salsa echoes the pineapple note already in the protein and ties the whole bowl together. Avoid the hot salsa on this one. The morita pepper in the chicken already has a slow burn, and stacking fresh hot salsa on top pushes the heat into a range where you lose the flavor complexity.

If you are a Chipotle Rewards member, you got early access through the app on February 9 via their Fan Day promotion. If you missed that, it is worth checking the app for any future early-access offers since Chipotle has confirmed it will use the same approach for its other 2026 LTOs.

High Protein Cup Option

New for this run: Chipotle is offering a High Protein Cup with Chicken al Pastor for the first time. The cup format skips the carbs entirely and doubles down on the protein. If you are tracking macros, this is worth knowing. A standard bowl with al pastor already runs higher in protein than the regular chicken bowl, and the High Protein Cup pushes it further.

How Long Will It Be Available?

Chipotle has not given an end date, which is consistent with how they handled it in past years. It will run until it runs out or until the next LTO is ready to launch. Based on the 2024 run, it sold out at several locations before the official end date. If you have been waiting, do not keep waiting.

Burger King Changed the Whopper for the First Time in Nearly a Decade. Here Is the Verdict.

New premium bun, creamier mayo, clamshell box instead of paper wrap. Did they finally fix it or just mess with a classic?

By Marcus Webb  ·  Apr 13, 2026  ·  4 min read  ·  201K views
Burger King Elevated Whopper 2026 official press photo

Image courtesy of Restaurant Brands International / PR Newswire

Burger King announced the first significant upgrade to the Whopper in close to a decade in February 2026, and it went into effect at restaurants nationwide shortly after. The changes came directly from customer feedback and touch every physical component of the sandwich except the beef patty, which remains the same flame-grilled quarter-pound it has always been.

What Actually Changed

Three things. The bun is now a more premium option with a softer interior and slightly thicker structure that holds up better under the weight of the toppings. The mayo has been reformulated to be creamier and richer, which changes the texture of every bite in a subtle but real way. And the packaging has been upgraded from a paper wrap to a clamshell box, which keeps the burger warmer longer and prevents the structural collapse that a paper-wrapped Whopper inevitably experiences if you take more than two minutes to eat it.

Flame Grill at Home
The George Foreman grill is the closest you will get to BK's flame-grill char at home. Thousands of five-star reviews for a reason.
Shop on Amazon →

Does It Actually Taste Better?

Yes, on balance. The new bun makes the biggest difference. The old bun had a tendency to compress and get soggy from the tomato and the condiments within a few minutes of assembly. The new version holds its shape noticeably longer. The creamier mayo is a real upgrade. The original was thin and a bit watery in a way that diluted the overall flavor. The new version actually contributes to the sandwich instead of disappearing into it.

The clamshell box is good news for anyone who eats in the restaurant. For drive-through or delivery, the benefit is less pronounced but still real. The burger arrives with better structural integrity than before.

What Did Not Change

The beef. The flame-grill process. The toppings lineup. The price, which is already high for a fast food burger in most markets. If you were hoping the upgrade would come with a price rollback, it did not.

The Bottom Line

This is a meaningful upgrade that makes the Whopper a better sandwich without changing what makes it the Whopper. The patty, the char, the size, the toppings all remain exactly as they were. What changed are the things that were quietly making the experience worse than it should have been. Burger King made the right call. Whether it moves the needle on sales is a different question, but as a sandwich, the 2026 Whopper is the best version in years.

Red Robin Just Reinvented the Slider and It Launches April 20

Red Robin Towering Double Cheeseburger Sliders on King's Hawaiian rolls official press photo

Red Robin is launching two new limited-time items on April 20 that make a pretty direct argument: the slider as a food category has been underselling itself for years. The Towering Double Cheeseburger Sliders are not the two-bite, thin-patty format most people picture when they hear the word slider. These are four separate sandwiches, each built with two beef patties made from 100% fresh never-frozen hand-cut beef, double American cheese, and served on toasted King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. The whole order comes in at up to 12 ounces of beef before cooking and gets delivered on Red Robin's signature vertical tower stand.

Two Versions, One Concept

The standard build is the Towering Double Cheeseburger Slider, with each sandwich carrying double patties, double cheese, onions, ketchup, and mustard on a King's Hawaiian roll with pickles on the side. The upgraded version, the Towering Double Bacon Cheeseburger Slider, adds hardwood-smoked bacon crumbles to the stack. Both are available for dine-in and to-go at participating locations while the limited-time offer runs.

The King's Hawaiian collaboration is not incidental. Red Robin's executive chef Brian Sullivan pointed to the roll specifically as the thing that differentiates this from every other slider on the market. The soft, slightly sweet interior of a King's Hawaiian roll against a double-patty burger is a different eating experience than a standard bun, and the structural integrity holds up under the weight of the toppings better than most people expect.

Smash Burgers at Home

The April 20 Launch Deal

To mark the debut, Red Robin is running a one-day dine-in-only offer on April 20 called the Sky-High Towering Trio. For $20, guests get one Towering Double Cheeseburger Slider Tower plus an Onion Ring Shorty and a Cinnamon Sugar Doh! Ring Shorty. It is a dine-in exclusive and is not available through the app, mobile ordering, or third-party delivery. The offer is not stackable with Red Robin Royalty rewards or other discounts.

Red Robin is also introducing Kona Big Wave beer at select locations nationwide as a recommended pairing, which is a smart move given the sweet-savory profile of the Hawaiian rolls against the smoked beef and bacon.

Why This Actually Matters

The slider format has been a menu staple at dozens of chains for years, but most versions lean heavily on novelty over substance. The idea of a slider is that it is small, which usually means a single thin patty and minimal toppings. Red Robin's approach flips that entirely. By keeping the format but dramatically scaling up the build, they are targeting a segment of guests who want the variety of eating multiple sandwiches at a meal without sacrificing the quality of what is inside each one. Whether the execution matches the concept is something only the April 20 rollout will answer, but the ingredient list is hard to argue with.

The items are available at participating Red Robin locations nationwide while supplies last. To find a location near you, visit redrobin.com/towering-cheeseburger-sliders.

Chipotle Just Rebuilt Its Rewards Program. Here Is Everything That Changed.

Monthly free food drops, lower redemption thresholds, a birthday reward you actually choose, and points that no longer expire every six months. The loyalty program just got a serious upgrade.

Chipotle announced today that it is overhauling its rewards program under the name "Rewards on Repeat," and the changes are more substantive than the usual loyalty refresh that amounts to a redesigned app screen. The company has 21 million active members driving a significant share of its sales, and this update is designed to grow that number while delivering more value to the people already in the program.

What Is New for All Members

The most immediately valuable change is the return of Freepotle, Chipotle's recurring free food promotion. Starting now, the company is committing to monthly free food drops for rewards members. These are not one-time promotions but a standing program feature. New members also receive free chips and guac with a purchase of $5 or more after joining, giving immediate value at sign-up rather than requiring a spend accumulation period.

The birthday reward, previously a fixed item, can now be customized. Members choose between guac, queso, chips, or a fountain drink, with a 30-day window to use it. For anyone who does not particularly want the item Chipotle previously defaulted to, this is a real improvement.

The Points and Redemption Overhaul

Chipotle has lowered point thresholds in the Rewards Exchange and added new redemption options including 50% off an entree, Build Your Own options for groups, and bundled meal rewards. The six-month points expiration window has been extended significantly: points now remain active as long as a member makes one qualifying purchase per year. For anyone who uses Chipotle occasionally rather than constantly, this removes a recurring frustration where accumulated points would quietly expire before redemption.

The app itself has been redesigned to centralize all rewards content into one destination, with an enhanced points tracker and gamification features including interactive challenges that unlock additional points. According to the company, nearly 90% of digital orders are already linked to a rewards account, but only about 20% of in-restaurant transactions are. The in-store campaign accompanying this relaunch, which includes menu panels, table tents, cups, and receipt messaging, is directly targeting that gap.

The Gen Z Factor

The timing of this relaunch is not incidental. Recent industry data shows that Gen Z surpassed millennials as the most active demographic in restaurant loyalty program enrollments in 2024, the first time that has happened. Additionally, roughly one in four diners say they would switch to a less-preferred restaurant for better loyalty perks. Chipotle is clearly positioning the program to compete directly for that group, and the combination of gamification, free food drops, and flexible redemption options maps closely to what that audience responds to.

The redesigned Chipotle Rewards experience is live now in the U.S. and Canada, excluding Quebec. New members who join starting today receive the free chips and guac with a qualifying purchase. The full program details are at chipotle.com.

Chipotle's New Cilantro Lime Sauce Is a Limited-Time Item and the Best Performing Sauce They Have Ever Tested

Fresh cilantro, lime, and roasted jalapeños in a creamy base made fresh daily. Chipotle says it outperformed every sauce in their test market history. Here's what you need to know before it disappears.

Chipotle launched a new limited-time sauce in March 2026 called Fresh Cilantro Lime Sauce, and it is notable for a specific reason: the company describes it as the highest-performing sauce in their company test markets to date. Chipotle does not make that kind of statement lightly. The sauce joins the menu as a $0.75 add-on alongside the existing guac, queso, and sour cream options.

What Is in It

The sauce is built around three central ingredients: fresh cilantro, lime juice, and roasted jalapeños, blended into a creamy base. Chipotle has emphasized that it is made fresh daily in restaurants, following the same preparation model as their guacamole. That fresh-daily approach matters because it keeps the cilantro flavor clean and bright rather than oxidized, which is the difference between a cilantro sauce that works and one that tastes flat.

The roasted jalapeño adds warmth without making the sauce a heat vehicle. It sits more in the medium range, which means it plays well across the entire menu rather than being limited to guests who specifically seek out heat. The creaminess provides a counterbalance to the acidity of the lime, making the overall profile approachable for a wide audience.

How It Works on the Menu

Cilantro lime as a flavor profile is already deeply embedded in Chipotle's DNA. The rice, the corn salsa, the vinaigrette on the salads, all carry that profile. Adding a dedicated sauce version means guests can now layer it more intentionally onto any bowl, burrito, or taco order. It works particularly well on the chicken and the carnitas, where the acidity of the lime brightens the protein. On the steak, the jalapeño warmth creates a more complex contrast.

For anyone building a high-protein bowl, this sauce is a meaningful upgrade over the standard options. It adds flavor without significant calories compared to the queso, and the bright acidity does a better job cutting through the richness of proteins than the milder sour cream.

The Limited-Time Reality

Chipotle has been running an accelerated menu innovation schedule through 2026, with several proteins and sides rotating in and out on a limited-time basis. The Cilantro Lime Sauce follows that pattern. Given its test market performance, there is a reasonable chance it returns or becomes permanent, but for now it is a while-it-lasts item. If you have been skipping the sauce line at Chipotle, this is a reasonable excuse to stop doing that.

The Fresh Cilantro Lime Sauce is available now at Chipotle locations in the United States and Canada for $0.75 as an add-on to any order. It can be added to bowls, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and salads.
